Oddali hołd ofiarom niemieckich nazistowskich obozów
14 czerwca obchodzony jest Narodowy Dzień Pamięci Ofiar Niemieckich Nazistowskich Obozów Koncentracyjnych i Obozów Zagłady. Z tej okazji, w piątek przedstawiciele szczecińskiego oddziału Instytutu Pamięci Narodowej oraz Gminy Police złożyli kwiaty i zapalili znicze pod pomnikami w Trzeszczynie i Mścięcinie.
Uroczystość była wyrazem pamięci o ofiarach niemieckiego terroru oraz okazją do przypomnienia tragicznych wydarzeń II wojny światowej. Pomnik w Trzeszczynie upamiętnia ofiary faszyzmu na ziemi polickiej, natomiast pomnik w Mścięcinie poświęcony jest więźniom filii niemieckiego nazistowskiego obozu koncentracyjnego Stutthof.
Narodowy Dzień Pamięci obchodzony jest w rocznicę pierwszego transportu 728 polskich więźniów politycznych do niemieckiego nazistowskiego obozu koncentracyjnego Auschwitz, który miał miejsce 14 czerwca 1940 roku.
Uroczystość została zorganizowana wspólnie przez Oddział Instytutu Pamięci Narodowej w Szczecinie, Gminę Police oraz Zachodniopomorski Oddział Polskiego Związku Byłych Więźniów Politycznych Hitlerowskich Więzień i Obozów Koncentracyjnych.
